Group bookings of four or more cottages are subject to a non-refundable “save the date” charge, depending on group size and occasion. Information is provided at the time of enquiry.

Around public holidays a minimum stay of three or four nights may apply. Please check with us at the time of enquiry.

Each cottage has a maximum number of guests it can sleep, listed in the cottage description — this includes infants and children, so please count everyone in your party when booking.

Dotty Cottage is our children’s cottage, paired with Sipos Cottage. Guests staying in other cottages may use Dotty Cottage only when it has not been reserved by Sipos Cottage guests, and subject to availability

Check-in is from 3:00 PM. Please call us with your exact arrival time in advance to allow us to carry out the check-in process.

Under Hungarian law, we are required to scan and register a valid passport or national ID for every guest before check-in. Please have these ready to send to us ahead of arrival, or to present on arrival. This is a legal requirement, not a house preference, and we are not able to check in any guest without valid ID.

Check-out is by 11:00 AM.

Early check-in (1:00–3:00 PM) and late check-out (11:00 AM–1:00 PM) may be arranged in advance, subject to availability, for a fee of 10,000 Ft added to your final bill.

Any early check-in or late check-out that has not been agreed with us in advance will still be charged this fee automatically.

Feather allergies: if anyone in your party has a feather allergy, please tell us in advance so we can prepare accordingly.

Pets are welcome for a fee of 5,000 Ft per night, per pet, with a maximum of two pets per cottage. Pets are not permitted on beds, on furniture, or in our pools. Our housekeeping team checks for this, so please respect these rules.

Pets and pools: pets are strictly forbidden from entering our pools, as we use chemicals that most certainly can affect your animal’s skin and fur. Our pool maintenance team can tell if a pet has been in the pool, and where this happens, an additional charge will be billed to cover the extra work required to clean the filter systems.

Baby cots, high chairs and baby bath tubs are provided free of charge.

Parking is tight and limited and reserved for residents only — please park considerately. In the top car park, Sipos Cottage has space for 2 cars; Kis Alma has space for x2 small–medium cars or x1 large car; Sisi has space for 1 car; and Eco has space for 1 car. Józsi and Nest have parking on the roadside opposite the cottage.

Charging an electric vehicle may be arranged with advance notice, for an additional fee. Space is limited to one or two vehicles at a time, so please contact us ahead of your stay to confirm availability.

Engagement photo shoots for non-resident couples are available subject to availability, at 20,000 Ft for up to two hours. Please email info@catherinescottages.com to arrange.

Fashion photo shoots are charged at 20,000 Ft per hour. Please email info@catherinescottages.com to arrange.

If fresh bedding is required during your stay, due to a change of guests or other circumstances, an additional charge of 10,000 Ft applies.

Our facilities are for resident guests only. Outside visitors are only permitted with our prior approval, and are charged 5,000 Ft per person, per day. Overnight stays for guests not included in the original booking are not permitted, and our team will know if this occurs without authorisation. Any approved outside visitors must park on the bottom road, not in the car park.

Massages can be arranged, but our massage therapists are independent and often in high demand — please book with as much advance notice as possible.

Breakfast baskets are available to order, but require at least 48 hours’ notice.

Small private and pop-up events are welcome. Exclusive use of the Eco Terrace, reception area and kitchen for a private event is available for 90,000 Ft per day.

Eco Terrace Use & Rental Groups who would like to use the Eco Terrace as a shared gathering space — for example, to set up meals together — can do so for 85,000 Ft per day. Our team will provide tableware to set up. This charge applies because it restricts use of the terrace for our other guests.

Smoking Smoking is not permitted inside any of our buildings. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas — terraces and the car park — where ashtrays are provided. Please do not discard cigarette ends on the gravel road or in the gardens.

Booking & Payment Under Hungarian law, we are required to collect the following details for every guest at the time of booking: full name, date and place of birth, home address, ID document number and phone number. We cannot confirm a reservation without this information.

A 50% deposit is required within 7 days of booking, paid by bank transfer. Your booking is confirmed only once the deposit has been received in our account.

Please use the lead guest’s name and arrival date as your payment reference.

Your final balance may be paid by Visa, Mastercard, OTP Szép Card or cash.

Last-minute bookings may be paid by card or cash on arrival, with prior agreement.

1–3 night reservations: cancel at least 21 days before arrival to receive your deposit back, less a 1,500 Ft admin fee.

4–14 night reservations: cancel at least 45 days before arrival to receive your deposit back, less a 2,500 Ft admin fee.
